Using my GF profile... It's upsetting that you can't walk into any VA in the country and can't get a award letter or information printout. Especially after reading the patient rights that it's law & being told to wait for 30mn & requesting a supervisor for "No show" from the supervisor and letter denied, redirected to Audie Murphy. I live off the grid so don't refer me to your website
While I do expect to wait, I always receive wonderful care from the staff. The nurse practitioners Lisa Ataae & Thuy Nygen are fabulous. They are very knowledgeable and empathetic. As a veteran, I feel I am very well served at this clinic.
Worse va clinic that you can go. They don't care about veterans.
It is nearly impossible to schedule an appointment with primary care at the Walzem clinic. When calling the phone line, you are placed on hold for long periods of time and then redirected to an enrollment/eligibility office. Sending a secure message for an appointment doesn't seem to get answered either.
I went by the clinic to leave a message for Dr Bennett that my husband was feeling a lot of Anxiiety and Depression and that he needed some medication. I let them know he had just been diagnosed with PTSD on his C&P exam. It is now Jan 6th and neither DR Bennett or the clinic have gotten back with him yet. They seem not to take Mental health seriously. Then they wonder why Veterans commit suicide.
