Been seen here for several years now, they have been taking great care of me and addressing issues that affected my quality of life for years. Nice that they actually listen and help me out when I ask.
I am a 100% disabled veteran with a VA heart implant. Getting one basic cardiology VA referral at Grand Junction took a written denial and 8 calls from staff. Then my cardiac test was cancelled by administrative staff, and the patient advocate said I am not a Grand Junction patient, talked over me, and hung up on me. My first referral was denied with this note: "Referral to general cardiology to listen to his heart is not appropriate." After I complained, the calls began. I have been asking for a primary doctor since 2020. I had a tip FIB fracture three days ago where the year completely dropped the ball. I constantly call for a doctor constantly. In the ER last week after a heart attack and they didn't even care that I fell and broke my collarbone. Not concerned that I was just in the hospital
Dr. McGill-Collins is the worst doctor I've ever delt with, and the copper team is worthless as well. Avoid them like the plague. The patient advocates for this VA hospital are completely worthless. I'll be contacting my congress person to discuss how much money they make because, 1 they never answer their business phones, 2 if they do they are incompetent and rude, 3 they offer no help whatsoever.
