The phrase "Close Enough for Government Work” and presence of a “Self-Licking Ice Cream Cone” atmosphere at VA Medical Facilites is compulsive, but also a surrounding element within the VA system itself. My experience warrants a critical review of the VA Medical System, especially concerning “Specialty Care" and treatments that require advanced expertise. Great hospital
I was told at the Placentia clinic to go directly to the Long Beach ER because of heart concerns. I felt normal, but went anyway. I checked in and sat in the waiting room. I was immediately called and the ER staff began taking excellent care of me. I was informed I had heart issues and I would not be released that day. I was eventually transferred to the fourth floor and the excellent treatment continued. The doctors and support staff treated me great.
