Not sure what happened to this place. But Lakeside VA has gone downhill. The nursing station may just very well be the most unprofessional place here. Tuesday May 19, 2026 around 8:20 am they actually were talking about the female body part where babies come out of. The P word, spelled it and said it. You could hear the entire conversation from the lobby. After waiting in lobby for a hour to do labs I just left.
As I have written before, great and attentive care, especially for us Senior Vets! Yesterday I saw Resident Dr. Lee and Supervising Dr. Leon Urdaneta. They both thoroughly addressed my problem, and made sure that my medication was ordered. Deanine Baker and Lauren Hamilton at the Front Desk made check-in a breeze. Thank you all for going above and beyond to provide wonderful care to us Senior Veterans!

Fantastic care, especially for Senior Vets! Great facility to receive care, from the Front Desk with the very helpful Lakeside Clerk, Deanine Baker, to the Lab nurse, Adola, from whom I have received excellent care from for a number of years now. Adola has always provided the utmost in professional care with a wonderful attitude. The entire team from the administrative staff, pharmacy, and physicians were the best VA care I've ever received. This is my my home base VA but they all treated me like a priority when I came in for medication support.
