Excellent service, wonderful people
Previously, I often felt anxious seeking medical help due to bad experiences in the Navy with underappreciated and overworked Corpsmen. This VA Clinic is so, so, SO much better than even my best experiences with healthcare in the past, bar none, civilian or military. Special shout-out to Dr. Lavery! If you're a vet (or a caregiver of a vet) considering reaching out to get a checkup or get help for a medical issue, I highly and truly recommend reaching out! 10/10
Where do I start! My father is a Veteran 61 years old. He lacerated 3 fingers with the bone exposed and broke a finger we go to emergency urgent care in Eldon. They patch him up and refer him to a hand surgeon immediately in Jefferson City at JCMG. When we arrive JCMG informs us that with his VA medical care he needs a referral from the VA to be seen there. So we call the Jefferson City Clinic to get a referral from Dr. Stone. When we called he was connected with VA health connect which was some lady at home clearly with kid... read more
The care I recieve from this location is almost always great. However, every time I call, either to schedule an appointment, get updates, or any other questions, I'm frequently met with incredibly rude people. I've practically gotten yelled at over the phone because I wanted an update on my referral from my doctor's nurse. Like I understand there's some policies like "they have 48 hours to contact you" and whatnot.
