My father is a patient whose primary care physician is Dr. Brown-Johnson, and we cannot get anyone to return our repeated, desperate phone calls to have his paperwork signed by his doctor to approve his transfer to assisted living. It is an emergency situation as his health has declined and he can no longer safely take care of himself, and our phone calls continue to go unreturned. Very shameful way to treat an elderly veteran.
Just take your loved one to Northside or Emory unless you want to run the risk of them becoming an invalid. Brought my Dad to ER abecause he was complaining about his hip and urgent care didn't want to treat him "because of his medical history." Hip turned out to be fine but they admitted him and kept him for almost 2 weeks because he had signs of dementia. He was able to walk before he came here, but at 76 years old they kept him laying in the bed 24 hrs a day, and the PT/OT that spent no more than 10 min declined to recomm... read more
