Not exactly thrilled with the hazard VA. Been dealing with a strained back since last Saturday (8 days as of today) and developed into cervical nerve pench. Come Wednesday painful episodes were crippling I had to rush to the ER (twice now) All they can do at ER is a CT scan and I need an MRI.. I called the Hazard VA clinic Thursday and they told me that with them being off work the next day for the 4th of July holiday that it would probably be Monday. People are nice. Not a fan of the VA and hoe it over all treats veterans. But the nurses and dr. Banks here care and help as much as the va will allow.
I was just turned away for being 30 mins late, appointment was at 8 and had some difficulties getting there. There wasn't any other patients waiting yet I couldn't get my initial check up? That being said the staff is super courteous though.
First time here at the new building. Its very nice building and parking. Steak n shake is next door. Plus Go Time gas station and snacks. Perfect location for the va clinic. I'll update after my visit is done.
I have been going to hazard va for several years now. My wife also goes here and we have always had timely appointments and very little wait time all doctors and staff are fantastic. I would recommend hazard VA to anyone and I have recommended it to several.
