Well managed clinic. I have never had a negative experience here since this location opened. From a Vietnam era vet.
Hey fellow guy and gal vets. I live in New Braunfels and have to go to the new VA clinic on a regular basis because of PTSD and extreme anxiety. Thank God I kept my PCP assigned to me at Audie. She makes all my appointments and gets the results of my labs usually by the next day. I also have prostate cancer and refuse to be treated by any of the "specialists" working at Audie. I'm giving two stars. Reason: I got my picture taken and ID card processed. However, I recall calling the VA on Monday to ask the status of my online request for my expired VA card. I was told it was canceled, so I need to come in. I went in this past Wednesday. Unfortunately. the individual who does this job wasn't in. I got on here to check the reviews Now it makes sense. I'm moved here from Ohio in February I made 100 phone calls sent messages because I need to establish care. Finally after two months someone called and said I'm not in the system yet give them another 7 days. 5 days after that someone called to says she's the director of nursing and she apologies. Sadly I must give the New Braunfels VA Clinic a 1 star review. Today I called the S Texas Veterans Healthcare System to schedule an appointment. They aren't taking patients which means I must drive to San Antonio from New Braunfels for care. This is a new facility and they lack the staff to see patients. Don't know why they built it in the first place if they can treat veterans.
