I've been spending more time here than I would like, but the staff makes it a lot easier. I'm here with lung failure and was evaluated/judged to be nicotine free for 6 months even though I quit smoking last october, I did use patches and other nicotine products. I will show up in 6 months nicotine free for a spot on the transplant list. I wish I would have known that back when I could have arrived compliant. Dr. Padia is an exemplary MD working at the Sleep Apnea Clinic. She is personable, available, and kind. The Tech guy, Zach, is also very knowledgeable and helpful. The VA is often a mixed bag that toggles between mild neglect to outright incompetence. Not so with the aforementioned. Both are top of the line. I love these guys. They have helped me so much.
I have been receiving care at this facility for almost two decades. The physicians, nurses, technicians and all ancillary staff have been empathetic, helpful and exceedingly competent in the execution of their duties. Rather than going on, I would just say that I would wholeheartedly recommend this facility to any veteran and their families. Remember we are all people, so give them the benefit of the doubt and I believe your experience will closely replicate my own. Thank you especially Dr. Choi, Dr. Karam and Dr. Clay!
