Yeah this is not a good VA they are rude and unprofessional I had a visit with the physc doctor and she went on to say they aren't a vending machine ! Who's says that to a vet who was simply stating what works for him that's terrible she is terrible !! So I reported this right off the bat Friday around 2 pm well she was supposed to order my meds regardless and what do they do not her but they and her ?? They are doing the best they can with what the government gives them to work with but I have not had any problems with them. I use the Patient Portal to send and receive messages, request refills so I don't think anyone that knows their way around a computer will have any problems, of course realizing there are some that simply cannot.
Great bunch of people, kind, compassionate. Very helpful and friendly. Rough sometimes to get appointments but no more so than trying to get an appointment at Shannon.
My first PCM started off ok, then turned into a real PITA. He basically ignored 10 years of non-VA medical records, 5 of which were after my diagnosis for Parkinson's, making me really regret going back to the VA for my medical care. If I was taking non-formulary meds, he refused to continue prescribing the meds, saying we had to show the VA that their approved formulary meds didn't work. "Huh? It was a disgrace being lied to about my health concerns by Dr Pollitt at the local VA clinic here last week and being told I can't refer you to the community care cardiologist Dr Christopher Haddad, who is seen for years before bidenomics said they would not pay for a visit to Dr Haddad. It's been about 3 years since I've seen a cardiologist to just get a check up. Because I've had many problems with my heart and had 6-7 stints in my arteries over the last 19 years.
