Love this place. Always learn something new everytime I come here.
Fun, you learn a lot and you see some cool things. Unfortunately, there is a bit of light pollution from the city and college but you can't really fix that.
Pretty cool, lots of fun. Wish there were more public events...

The University of West Georgia is fortunate to have an observatory, but even more fortunate to have faculty in the sciences who hold a genuine interest. The observatory houses a 16" diameter reflecting telescope, so large enough for semi-professional observation but that an amateur can learn to use. The observatory serves as a public observation area during certain celestial events, and also as a place for students to gain hands-on learning in observable astronomy.
