UW Medicine's Acupuncturist, Brenda Loewe is a consummate professional. No only did she ask good questions, and explain everything carefully, her approach is very generous and collaborative. She comes armed with decades of successful treatment, but her energy is very low-key and for lack of a better word humble. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming! I was hesitant about acupuncture but after one visit I knew it would be a life changer. The office is very close to the Light Rail so public transportation is super easy!
When I suffered from pain on my leg from hip to the knee level. I tried many things, including an MRI and suggestion to do surgery. I got a referral to sports medicines who think I need surgery based on my MRI report.. when I met the occupuncture team at UW Medicine Thornton place in Northgate. I have been seeing Brenda Loew, LAc for acupuncture for about a month. I'm grateful to have this service available at the Northgate Branch of UW Medicine. My primary concern is pain in my left buttock due to piriformis syndrome. The hamstring on that side has some pain due to tendinosis. I have benefitted greatly from Brenda Loew's holistic approach.
