Don't be like me - read the negative reviews of this place before you schedule an appointment and take them seriously! I had an identical experience to the others here who are complaining of surprise charges. I made a new patient appointment with an in-network PCP here (6 months out, mind you), expected a $10 copay, and got hit with a $276 bill the office visit and $288 bill for routine bloodwork she recommended at the visit. I’ve been here for a number of things for the last 3 years including breaking my arm. I’m really going to miss the doctors here, espeicallly my primary care doctor Gena Lenti! Highly recommend her, the primary care clinic and physical therapy here.
I had an IUD placed at UW Medicine Women’s Clinic at Roosevelt a few years ago and am deeply dissatisfied with how the procedure was handled — both clinically and ethically. The IUD was placed by a PGY1 (first-year resident). I was never informed of the provider’s level of training, and was not offered the option to have an attending physician perform the procedure — a basic expectation for any patient, especially when paying out of pocket.
