This review is for Dr. Nicole Leonard. I went to get my knee checked out due to a likely meniscus tear. She asked some cursory questions and referred me to PT without ever trying to understand. She also told me that if I scheduled PRP injections for both knees at the same time, they would only draw the standard amount of blood. This goes against the research around needing double the platelets per large joint. Virginia Mason said they would need to draw a CC's of blood per knee as expected. Update 2 months after UWMC's response: My wife and I have made multiple attempt to contact the UWMC Patient Relations at the phone number provided as well as the email address. We have not yet managed to talk to a person and nobody has called or emailed us back. I can only conclude that the patient experience team is a fig leaf, solely for lip service. Since I was seeing by a provider that actually diagnose my condition correctly and got me the injection I needed and got me the injection that I needed I'm very grateful to the knee specialist he is a PA and really cares about his patients. I had a hairline fracture in my foot and though I was against it, they referred me for an injection in my foot which hurt like crazy but ever since then I haven't had any pain in the area. I am leaving this review in hopes of countering some of these ridiculous (if not sometimes humorous)one star reviews. My experience was nothing if not pleasant and efficient. I arrived about twenty minutes prior to my appointment having filled out the online check in, I was greeted nicely at reception and after two or three questions verifying who I was and why I was there, asked to take a seat. They could not give me a price estimate, and didn't have a financial coordinator for before appointments. How am i supposed to know if i can afford the appointment if you wont tell me the price beforehand?
