Horrible communication top to bottom. From general information to scheduling, has been a total nightmare. Was told any of the doctors could do the consultation and then open to choose from several doctors, that was false. Had my consultation in May and still not able to get my appointment scheduled. Don’t even bother waiting for a call back because you will not hear from anyone for several months and then have to redo the consultation when it expires. Top class UW…
Dr Grimes is beyond remarkable. I am a transgender man. The work he has done on me is about as flawless as it could be. Laura Hermsen his PA, is just as praise worthy. She has made me feel beyond comfortable. I’m from Green Bay and it’s difficult to not feel like I am anomaly and that I don’t belong. I have never felt that way for a moment in the care of any of them. There is a new person on staff and I believe her name is Mia. Definitely don’t recommend Dr. Olubunmi B Kumapayi. A complete waste of time and money. Didn’t provide a single form of physical examination or provide any sort of direction toward the proper care / route to go. Once she found out I was on an antibiotic (very early on during the visit) from my primary she wanted nothing to do with me. I would not recommend the UW Urology dept to address enlarged prostate issues. I felt they were focused on the procedure more than a quality of life outcome. I have not felt any commitment to managing my recovery. I would vet providers carefully to ensure a focus on recovery support. Mine was, and continues to be, a very negative experience .
Got referred for a vasectomy here. Was told they would call me to schedule. After two weeks no call. Called them myself and was told they refused to contact my insurance to see what this would cost. Contacted insurance myself and called back, got pushed to a voice recording. Left a message and waited hours, no one ever called back. Tried calling again 30 minutes before posted closing time and was told they were already closed. The whole process is very apparently going to be like this
