After experiencing rather awful healthcare in another state, my first visit to the UW Carbone cancer center was great. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The doctors I dealt with were very thorough and empathetic. The facility was in exceptional condition and the care was better than my expectations.
It’s hard to issue a knowledgeable rating of Carbone. And one really shouldn’t offer a rating early on because metastatic sarcoma treatment is a complex undertaking that requires a range of experiences and modalities. Now in treatment year 3 (and still kicking), I feel it’s possible to begin to rate it and even compare other health systems.
