This place doesn't even deserve a one rating , they have been putting through the wringer that last 3+ years . They wanted me to lose weight to be reinstated on transplant list and I lost 60+ pounds and I got reinstated. Then I went through 5 hours of psychological testing and passed with flying colors and had to pay over $50 for transportation to get there which was a waste of time and money, because I was in hospital a few days for mental health , now I got wait another 6-12 months to get reinstated again . UVA transplant center west complex-liver @ 1300 jefferson park ave.4th floor. The staff and doctor Mezina are wonderful! I trust their work,knowledge and dedication they give to me as a patient. We were evaluated for kidney transplant at UVA by physician referral. Patient education was ok, but we were left hanging for over 2 months afterwords. Several phone calls were made to the assigned RN, but there was no response. Finally, when we reached the transplant center, we found that her application had been rejected, without so much as an email or letter to inform us.
