Gone here at least 4 times over the last 3 years (2x since UVA took over) and the care and speed have always been excellent. We were in and out in 20 mins today, and the RX beats us to Walgreens everytime.
I took my 17 year old into Urgent Care 4 weeks ago due pain in his right big toe. It had persisted for over a week, only getting worse, with no recollection of a direct injury to the toe. The receptionist was very kind, as was the assistant who took my son’s vitals. The NP on the other hand was a “professional” who should probably take time to aim to be thoughtful and humble. Went for sinus infection on 9/23 at 11:00 am, paid my co-pay, got put in room at 11:14 with vitals taken. Was told a nurse would be in shortly. Went out at 12:15., to see if anyone was coming with not much of a response. Finally at 12:30, I asked for my money back so I could just leave. The lady at the front desk simply said..okay. Went here for testing positive for covid. The doctor and nurse were very nice. They suggested a second test and said they would call with the results in an hour. After an hour and a half I went back to the office and a different receptionist told me they were waiting on the results from several tests. the lobby was empty and the nurse was in her office so I know they weren't overwhelmingly busy.
