This place is apparently unable to improve despite their review responses. My sister came home in a state after apparently being told, "if you want surgery we'll give you some or if you are okay then go on". WHAT!? That's hardly an evaluation and someone in management/supervision need to finally intervene and protect UVA health's reputation.
Dr Carter is great, but honestly it's not even worth it to come here. Half the Drs are rude and you wait 2-3 hours every single time you come here. What's the point of scheduling an appointment? Not coming back anymore
I came to make an appointment the receptionist was on the phone buzy texting I said few times hello she ignored me I was with my baby standing the whole time and she was very mean she made my appointment 7 months later to come I told her I need early then that she said I can't help then she won't talk to me anymore that's why I give 1 star very rude receptionist.
Don't come here if you have to drive 1 hour and 30 mins for them to do absolutely nothing. If I go blind one day it will be this office's fault. Edit: I just had an mrv ordered by another doctor that is consistent with IIH/psuedo tumor cerebri they also were able to see the optic nerve swelling that like I said does not always show because it is mild... dismissing me bc it did not show then but a copy of it showing before was crazy.
