I had wonderful experiences at North Ridge but ever since I've been sent here it's gone downhill. The first problem was I had my intake call and was told I had the option to refuse Any care from a student or resident. I was told I was misinformed during my first in person appointment and they are a learning facility so I was lied too. Following up after that I had my genetic testing done. I give the stars to the pre-surgery nurses and anesthesia team only. ( 2nd floor outpatient surgical) Otherwise, there would be none at all. I’ve had 9 surgeries in my life at various hospitals (including UVA main hospital) and I’m very disappointed with this outpatient surgical building. Problems….Cheap!!! Don’t supply a bag for your personal belongings, don’t supply a breathing exercise tube to take home with you, and didn’t ask if I wanted ginger ale or the like and crackers or cookies. If you can go to another hospital I would choose to do that. It is so busy, there wasn’t anywhere to park. My son had major surgery, the doctor never came to look him over or check him out. UVA, to many patients not enough Doctors, parking and rooms! UVA canceled my son’s surgery 3 times, it took us 6 months to finally have his surgery. We won’t be going back. Thank you to the nurse Sarah from 7 West she really did care and help us! Goodluck
