I’ve never been impressed with UTMB; there are so many great providers in the area and/or our Texas medical center that I typically wouldn’t choose UTMB. Side note: I work in healthcare. I had an issue with my eye and needed to get into see an eye dr asap so I gave them another chance only to be disappointed again. I will NEVER waste my time or $ at UTMB again! Great Doctors and staff
I preface this review by stating all of my other UTMB doctors and their respective departments are outstanding. So I schedule an eye exam to update my prescription and discuss an issue I’m having. I knew going in that this would require a copay even though my vision insurance covers eye exams. Here’s where it goes off the rails… the young doctor I saw was friendly and inquisitive, however, photosensitivity wasn’t something he specialized in. My first time at this location. I was able to make an appointment & get seen the same day. Quick check in process. Did not wait in the waiting room for an extended time. Ashley was my nurse, she was informative, quick and willing to answer my questions. Dr. Menefee is excellent. She was professional, kind and wanted to hear my concerns. Highly recommended.
