Had a rash on my leg that lasted many months. Tried one of those Amazon tele-doc services but that prescription they gave me didn't help. Tried some over the counter stuff that didn't help either. Finally when my appointment with UTMB came up, the doctor gave me some Fluocinonide and within a few weeks I definitely noticed a major improvement. The doctor said the skin was probably stained and will take a long time to fully heal, but I definitely feel better and look better now.
I recommend going elsewhere. UTMB billed an office visit for a steroid injection as outpatient care, which drastically increased the cost. It feels like they are prioritizing revenue over patients, especially with recent changes like cutting employee PTO and shifting billing practices. I don’t understand how this is being justified, and patient services has been extremely unhelpful.
