Disappointed with the level of care at UTMB Clear Lake. After being evaluated for a possible stroke, the doctor briefly told me my CT scan was normal but didn’t take the time to explain the results or discuss next steps. I requested an MRI for further clarity, but was told it would have to be done outpatient without much explanation. The nurse handed me discharge papers without reviewing them, and I had to ask for clarification on what they thought was going on. My dad is 95 had to stay in ER so far for 22hrs His room has been ready for almost 4 hours and yet they can’t get in touch with transport to come take him All this time
I delivered my son at this hospital. They put me in a mother baby room after delivery that was dirty. There were wet towels on the ground in the bathroom when we came in, no one noticed. I got up to pee and had to call the nurse to let them know the bathroom needed to be cleaned. Later I showered, there was mold all over the shower curtains and corners of the shower. My unwell mother is continuing to attempt suicide, even AT THIS HOSPITAL AND IN FRONT OF THEM, and they keep trying to discharge her behind my back, she lives alone. Horribly unprofessional. It’s like they aren’t even people. And the nurses have inside jokes and giggle when I’m speaking to them. I’m so disgusted being at this place makes me so physically ill. My mother has been staying on and off since June and every experience has been bad. We can’t afford to go elsewhere. I have to get an attorney incase something happens ... read more
