RecommendedI have looked at a lot of colleges and Utah is one of the safest colleges in the USA. There is acts of evil every where you go. My daughter loves it there, everyone I met was nice and kind, which is a change from Cincinnati lol. But bad things do happen and it’s a shame. My prayers to the ones that was miss treated and hope that the people will be held accountable. So far for me, I’m glad she wanted Utah. Im confident in her decision and confident the school will protect her and others in the future.

Utah State University is not a safe place, and therefore not a good university. Enabling sexual assault and harassment for decades does NOT make a university great. This is a systemic problem that is not unique to one department, but to the university as a whole as evidenced by the lack of responsibly and action when students come to the administration with their allegations. You should probably stop turning a blind eye to the toxicity that is your music department, specifically your piano program. Sweeping things under the rug is not how you handle abuse of power and sexual harassment.
In order to be a good university, Utah State must provide a safe environment. Sexual harassment and rape should be dealt with, not swept under the carpet. Would I send my daughters to a university that doesn't take these topics seriously? Specifically, the music department has had a serious issue with sexual harassment and rape for many years. I am being denied my diploma over a rental textbook that I returned years ago. I have registered for many classes since that semester, even though holds like that are supposed to prevent people from registering for classes. Your staff is horribly incompetent.
