My daughter began complaining of tummy troubles when she was 6 and we'd been referred by her pediatrician to see Dr. Shuck-Phan, the gastroenterologist, here. Dr. Shuck-Phan performed blood work, took stool samples, and analyzed my daughter's growth charts to ensure nothing was afoot. Dr. Shuck-Phan provided tips, prescriptions (even if we decided against taking them in order to first try a non medicinal route) and so much help for the last few years when seeing my daughter. Dr Velez is wonderful. The lost star is for how long it took us to finally get an appointment. When our kids need medical care, several months is too long to wait. The lady at the front doesn’t welcome you in either but, once you get her attention, she’s nice enough. I can’t say enough positive about Dr Velez. She’s positive, informative, encouraging and knowledgeable. She is patient and answers questions.
