My review is strictly for Debbie (I hope Im spelling that right) I am not even sure what her title at the center is but she was in the room assisting when I got a sono on my breast done. I was so nervous just because I have never had to do anything like this before. She so kind the entire time and made me feel comfortable….and made sure I had all the information I needed. I left this place happy my path crossed with Mrs.Debbie. We need more Debbie’s in healthcare. This center is blessed to have her.
I have been using the Breast Center for 3+ years. They are always great, super kind and make the process easy. I had breast cancer and 2 surgeries and this breast center is where my testing, biopsies and surgeries happened. I have lots of faith in the Drs here - Dr Klouda and Dr Ashton both. I would highly recommend and will not go anywhere else for my care.
Worst experience I’ve ever had at a doctors office. Was greeted by a receptionist that was extremely terse and rude. Terrible Way to start an appointment that you’re not looking forward to anyway. Was eventually routed into a locker room with another patient filled with patients wearing only robes. It resembled that of a high school locker room. It was the least personal experience I’ve ever had. I will absolutely never go back to this facility. Most likely won’t go back to UT Tyler business ever again.
The ladies at the mammogram facility are very nice. My complaint is with billing communication. As a cash pay patient, I am careful to request a quote for services. I was happy to pay the quoted fee in full the day of service. I was even advised that if I received an additional bill that I should call and it would be cleared up. I did indeed receive TWO additional bills. My calls and an email to the billing department were ignored. The cost for a routine screening mammogram was more than double what I was quoted. Recently I had 4 needle biopsy’s getting ready for surgery. All of the procedures were painful with lidocaine shots given every time. The Stereotactic procedure was the worst as My breast was in a mammogram and the lidocaine shots were injected at the same time under my arm. Dr. Ashton nor the staff prepared me for this procedure so it was a total shock to my mind and body, very much pain and emotional trauma. The worst medical procedure of my life. I will not be back.
