Absolutely horrible experience trying to update my daughter's information. Mailed it, never heard back, called again and the guy I spoke to was horribly rude in saying they never got it. He was very rude again about giving me the fax number. I faxed the paperwork, will have to call on Monday. If they didn't get the fax, I will have to drive over an hour to the office to give it to them in person. Not the first awful experience with them. It's been that way for 9 years now.
Following a remarkably easy online application process, I had a wonderful experience with the staff in this office, who were quick, kind, and competent. I was in and out in no time, even without an appointment. I’m very grateful that the SSA maintains an in-person presence via the Traverse City office to help the community meet the critical needs fulfilled by the agency.
