I am writing to express my extreme frustration with this office. I have been trying to help a man who recently became blind. He asked me for help because he couldn't answer in time before the SS office would hang up. I have attempted to call five times, waiting over an hour each time to speak with a representative. Very rude customer service was hung up on several times most customers reported issues are not updated online
I was on hold for a little over 20 minutes. They used to have a feature that let you leave your phone number and they would call you back. I guess they don’t have that anymore. I just spoke with a male representative . I asked him his name and he very rudely replied, “I’m focusing on you right now ma’am!” I told him I had a couple of questions and he said “About what??” I told him social security!
