Don't bother with the automated machines unless you want your packages back. The scales are often wrong, the instructions don't match their own specs, and the machines now don't cut the labels - awful
Deep breaths, come prepared (pens included!) and plan a solid night out while in line at nearby Gramercy or Gershwin theaters...or a killer show at the Roseland Ballroom!
