This was the last time I step into a US Bank. I had a someone attempt to use my s.s. info to open an account. I got a call this morning alerting me to that and was told they would fix it. It was also suggested that I contact the consumer protection agency so I did so. This turned into a two hour attempt to have me ok a $7,800 dollars charge to two accounts in order to cut my bills in half, blah ,blah, blah. I finally hung up. Terrible Customer Service — Stay Away from US Bank I’ve been trying to open a simple checking account for over a month and a half, and US Bank’s customer service has been absolutely awful. The biggest issue was with ID confirmation, but instead of clear communication, I got radio silence. No emails, no texts, no follow-ups — nothing until I reached out repeatedly.
