Doctor Ahn greeted me immediately rather than having an assistant. She showed me around then explained the next steps. She is a great listener and addressed all my concerns. She also ordered some tests that previous doctors never did. She clearly explained my conditions in a non technical manner and eased my mind and concerns. I had a great experience. She takes time to listen, asks questions, is personable and clearly explains treatment options and next steps . I highly recommend her

She's more interested in billable procedures than actually curing your issues. Pushes medicines, then withholds medicines until costly procedures are preformed.. and is told to try OTC pain killers and try sucking it up. Cold, uncaring, and insensitive when dealing with patients.

As other reviewers stated, she is dismissive and condescending. She's not interested in understanding your problem or helping, especially if it requires any kind of thought or investigation. Instead she will cherry pick your symptoms to come up with an oversimplified (and incorrect) diagnosis. She knows it's wrong, but she doesn't want to do more work. Overall, she is complacent and apathetic.

I have been with Dr Ahn for almost 12 years now! I have been diagnosed with bladder cancer and believe me when I say this, if it wasn't for her and thinking outside of the box, I would not be here writing this comment. I read many of these other comments and find it to be untrue with their statements. Many of you may have had a bad hair day so to speak. Dr Ahn is of true value when it comes to her profession. She made me wait an hour In the exam room for my appointment and I was ready to leave to and the woman after me had to leave and could not continue to wait. 

Acute Pain Patient Dismissed

That was the most horrible experience getting an appointment. I was at the emergency room with acute pain, and got Dr. Ahn's name from my doctor. The receptionist told me that she didn't care about my pain because "I wasn't in their system." The appointment was available only in 2 weeks - I am on pain killlers all the time - which is a joke.

Dr Ahn was very unprofessional with poor bedside manor. She does not look out for the best interest of her patients.

While Dr. Ahn is a good surgeon and can be very personable, she is also dismissive and, at times, disrespectful. She blamed me for my reaction to anesthesia during my surgery and when I told her I was still having pain almost 3 months after she had removed a stent, her response was, "That should not be happening" and then went on to another topic. Honestly, I think she has never been a patient and is not very understanding of the vulnerability one feels. I will choose a different urologist.
