We had a tiny emergent issue with our dog eating a bug. It was late at night we were able to get right in. The care was amazing and the cost was very resonable.
We were faced with an end of life decision. They have a separate room set up with a couch, soft lighting and a soundscape of birds singing. The staff and veterinarian are compassionate and comforting. The experience was calming.
We needed urgent care for our pup without having to drive all the way from the Twin Peaks area to La Canada, and Urgent Vet was the closest place. It happened to also be the best choice, as they were quick, professional, but also very caring. They attended to her and put her at ease as much as they could, and it was so nice to not have to wait long in the waiting room with other animals, as our girl has severe social anxiety. UrgentVet advertises veterinary care at a lower cost than veterinary ERs but this is false. Go to Veterinary Specialty Care on River and La Canada instead. When I expressed hesitation at suggested care due to the cost, both the vet and vet tech insisted that all care provided would be required at the ER and performed at a higher cost. We took our dog in due to blood in her stool for multiple days. We were able to make an appointment in 5mins. The technician was so happy to see our dog Athena and Athena could feel that. The veterinarian treated Athena and she is now healthy and happy.
