I would like to make a complaint about Urgent Medical Care of Skaneateles, 803 West Genesee Street, Skaneateles, NY 13152 and the physician who is known as Anton Chertkovsky. My experience going to the walk-in clinic was not pleasant. I sat around in the waiting room for over an hour because they only had one nurse working on a Saturday. Duck Itch? Or Just Quack Diagnosis? Two of our kids came home from camp looking like they lost a wrestling match with a wood chipper—cuts everywhere, and a few had turned red, swollen, and cratered like tiny angry volcanoes. Since they’d spent the week swimming in a lake and not exactly prioritizing personal hygiene (read: no showers, just eau de lake), we figured it was best to get them checked out. Fantastic facility fantastic staff in and out really quick!!!
Save your time and money and go to a real doctor. The PA, David, was very unprofessional, uncompassionate, and rude. He refused to listen to my medical history and knowledge of my own body and told me that my upper respiratory infection was "allergies." Refused to give antibiotics so all in all I walked out of there with nothing but an $800 bill. I ended up seeing a real MD who was able to listen and prescribe the medication I needed to get better. If you need real, compassionate care, stay far away from here.
