Brought my toddler in with a rash and not feeling well and we knew that we had been exposed to strep. The office didn’t test him for strep even knowing my concerns. Instead they brushed it off as an allergy and said it’s very unlikely for him to have strep at his age. I would have loved to leave a 5-star review because the rest of our experience was positive, but unfortunately the nurse practitioner completely changed that. I understand that working with children can be challenging. Kids don’t always cooperate, and I know that can be frustrating. However, that is part of working in pediatric healthcare. The way the nurse practitioner spoke to our child and to my husband and me was unnecessarily harsh, dismissive, and unprofessional.
