Bad Communication – Best highlights ever!! Too bad I didn't want highlights. I made an appointment with the receptionist with specific instructions. Blonde on top, dark brown on bottom. I go in, the colorist says "Oh, she told me allover color, let me get you an appointment with our blonde specialist and we'll give you 25% off". I thought, wait, shouldn't I get 25% anyway for finding you on Citysearch (which I told them)? get your hair did by amanda – so i had this bet with five of my "friends" ...it was one slighly provoked by alcohol. the terms were ~ first one to get a hair cut owes the other four dudes one hundred bones a piece..ouch. so six months go by and i caved in and strutted in to urban renewal to get six months worth of fur removed by the highly recommmended AMANDA. she gave me the most amzing girl gettin' cut ever.... serious not like "hey i picked this out of the barber shop book cut" INCREDIBLE and more than worth the FOUR hund... read more
thank you amanda – i have done hair in colorado springs for twelve years! So you might think i have great hair. NOPE! not till i had Amanda do it. You could say that every "stylist" that i went to gave me the same style and color. When Amanda changed my style for the first time for me as a professional stylist i love my hair! I love Andrea! – I have seen Andrea now twice and am so happy with what she has done with my hair! I tend to change the color and style a lot and Andrea is really patient and takes her time to understand what it is I want done. In turn she explains what can be done with what I already have going on and takes me through all the colors they have (which is a lot!) and really looks for what will look good with my skin coloring. Best color specialist in Denver – Mia is a great color specialist. She has always taken the time to listen to what I wanted for hair color and highlights. My hair is tough too, thick, dark and I'm always changing from light blonde, to dark blonde, to two tone. She has always taken the time to listen to my desires, helped me pick out my color and made suggestions and after the few hours of color, foils, rinsing & washing, it has always come out exactly the way I wanted it!! Kelly knows what you really want to do with your hair – I went to check out this salon for the first time, and I thought Kelly was awesome!! Kelly totally gave me a fabulous new hair color and cut. I really didn't know what I wanted but I came out looking and feeling like a super star. I felt so comfortable there, I highly recommend this place to others who want to be satisified. I'm definetly going back to see Kelly again!
I loved my hair! – I just moved to Denver and like many of you, I was scared to try a new salon. After reading some of the reviews, I decided to give it a try. Mia, colored my hair and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to. She spent time at the begining of the appointment to really make sure she understood what type of highlights I wanted. They turned out great. She also had a great suggestion for my bangs and trimmed them up. I would return to this salon and to Mia.
I Love My Hair – I found this salon on citysearch and it sounded great so I decided to try it out. The location is perfect and the atmosphere of the salon makes you feel like home. I got in to see Amanda and she did exactally what I had explained. My highlights were perfect and my haircut was so cute. She was quick and witty, and has a wonderful personality. Not Impressed – I had been to Urban Renewal once before & had made a haircut appointment for a haircut on Dec. 20. They called and cancelled my appointment because the blizzard had started that day. No big deal, totally understandable. They rescheduled my appointment for 2pm the next day. The next day, I got up early (I work nights) & left an hour early to negotiate the snow to get to my appointment. We tried are hardest to make it in the second day of the blizzard but were unable due to the snow. No access to the database was possible from home to call any clients that were scheduled. So sorry for this, I would of course not wanted you to drive in that weather. You should have gotten a call when we reopened but the power had gone out during the blizzard and caused a back up error on are computer causing appointments that had not checked in to be erased.
