Andrew is an incredible teacher. I have taken classes with other woodturners and they don't come close to the skill and teaching ability that Andrew has. He is very good at explaining the techniques you need to master to be good at woodturning. And he is a nice person to spend an afternoon with. I highly recommend his classes whether you are a beginner or an experienced woodturner.
The "class" I took with Andrew was more than I expected, it was a one-on-one learning experience. I been turning pens and wanted to move into something bigger and this class was exactly what I needed. Instead of the planned project, Andrew adjusted our time to spent on working with different tools and techniques. I learned tremendous amount of knowledge from him and have developed more confidence as I get more into woodturning. It was time well spent and I totally recommend the class and especially working with Andrew.
So worthwhile, informative and fun! As much as I appreciated the 1 on 1 instruction, I think it would've been equally fun to have another person present to learn alongside with. I also think learners will gain more with some basic fundamentals before jumping on the lathe. Thank you for the opportunity, ULS!
