ULC called on a Friday demanding credit card payment over the phone for work completed. I refused to pay over the phone and showed up on Monday to pick it up only to find the work unfinished and my truck not running. David Dearborn told us he removed parts and undid work over the weekend b/c I didn't pay on Friday, but it was clearly not true. As others have described, scam artists. I am currently working on demand letter for return of my '73 FJ40 that was sent to the shop 2 yrs ago. I live in another state and thought I was sending to a reputable shop with little ability to just stop by and get it. They will not pick up the phone, respond to email, or text. I have been requesting the return of my truck for 3 months. David, if you read these reviews, get ready for a call from an attorney.
I trusted my 1995 Land Cruiser to Dave and his shop back in May of 2016. I initially requested he fix a small oil leak that had been noticed, and to scan for any other general repair items. He asked for a $700 deposit, and said it would be ready by the end of the week. I got my truck back almost a month later, with another $1900 spent. In addition to the oil leak, I got a whole new radiator and hoses, as well as a power steering pump.
