All hail non-chain coffee A local favorite that we hope too many people don't discover, Urban Grounds is an oasis in this rather depressing strip of Decatur/Avondale. Great coffee and a real independent coffee shop feel.
Local Coffee Gem! A friend recommended this coffee shop to me because I'm always in search of a good one. The first time I went here I ordered a latte and got a rosetta (latte art) poured in the mug! The quality of the drink was excellent and the staff seemed very well-trained and personable. The biggest drawback was that the store isn't very big, so there isn't the best selection of seating. They have the standard free wi-fi, which is always a plus.
