We are so happy with the work Urban Design did for us! James was great to work with, he provided us plenty of information and collaborated with us to make our vision a reality. His team worked very hard in really hot conditions and were so nice. They paid attention to small details and made sure that we were happy with the results. Very high quality work. James and Derek read the ground, elevations, and slopes precisely. They incorporated our many wants and visions to create new and more useful and aesthetic front and back yards. They helped us plan, and their design ideas were spot on. Our changes involved flexibility on their time and materials but the extra costs were reasonable on their part and appropriate on ours. They have great attitudes. For our Phase 2 project in 3-5 years, I’ll hire Urban Design again in a flash.
We worked with James, Derek and Kyle to add a new patio as part of a larger project to replace the decks across the back of our home. We didn’t choose Urban Design. They were selected by the general contractor. A great choice! Urban Design designed and installed our front patio in 2021 in Eden Prairie and we are still loving it today. James suggested several design ideas that we had not thought of and were so glad he incorporated them. They worked well with our landscaper to create exactly what we were looking for. Derick and the team are experts at what they do and very easy to work with. Several of our neighbors came to see our patio and had Urban Design do their front patios too. I would definitely recommend them without hesitation.
