I am going to tell you a story in this review and the facts are undeniable. I will let you decide for yourselves. After being with Blue Cross for years, my wife and I got used to most of the Drs being in network. I have retired and my wife had to find a plan. She found one. She needed to see a urologist and chose Dr Herik Acosta U of R medical. Well before the appointment, they asked for her cards and she sent them in. This is not my real name but I am a real and current patient of this practice and can speak with a lot of experience. Do not listen to the negative reviews--this office is fantastic. I have always received the very best care here and continue to do so. Dr. Tapiero and ALL the nurses--not to mention the receptionists--are knowledgeable, friendly, and highly skilled. I have nothing but deep appreciation and respect for everyone who works at UR Medicine Urology.
The nurses were really horrible to my husband on the last visit. They would not listen to anything he had to say about pain meds. That was a horrible way to treat someone who was in so much pain. No stars for this office!!!!!!

Had a cystourethroscopy done in Dec. 2022 that I was not looking forward to, but was very pleased with the friendliness of staff, the privacy provided and the professionalism and knowledge displayed by Dr Tapiero during this procedure, it was totally painless- Thank you!!
