Dr. Hammert is one of the best doctors I have had at Duke or any other medical clinic. He is knowledgeable, professional and truly dedicated to his patients. I saw Dr. Hammert for a broken wrist which might have needed surgery. I saw Dr. Hammert for 12 weeks regularly. I am out of my cast now and going through physical therapy. I called to see if we could be seen because my toddler hurt her hand. The receptionist was incredibly rude. I was trying to spell out my last name because it’s very long and gets spelled incorrectly consistently. She rushed me through. I couldn’t even verify my own last name, which she still got wrong. I said my daughter’s first name, which is not difficult to pronounce, she then repeated it right after me, mispronouncing it. Outstanding in every way! Endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery was amazing! Short recovery with tiny scar I can barely find. Dr. Hammert is kind, caring and excellent? I recommend him highly.

I love this guy! He was very professional and friendly and actually listened to the blood flowing through my hand. He had his assistant Paula set up an MRA at UMI Imaging, and she contacted them and worked with me to find a date quickly. She had them on one phone and me on another and really helped me out! I was referred to Dr. Hammert by another great doctor that knew that Dr. Hammert could help me out with the vascular trouble in my hand. I will recommend Dr. Hammert for sure!
