Surgery by Dr. Sloane on my hammer toe was unsuccessful. He acknowledged and re-did the surgery. It was somewhat better but not what was promised. He wasn’t that concerned. I wish I had seen an an Orthopaedic doctor instead of a podiatrist.

Dr. Sloan is a kind and patient doctor. However, his patience often sacrifices needed action. 15 months after tendon transfer surgery, I was still experiencing pain and swelling. He suggested exercise and maybe PT. I don't think he really listened or realized how disabling the situation was. At 18 months post-op, he suggested fusion. I no longer had confidence in his ability to listen and to act. I went elsewhere for the surgery.

Been taking my Mom there for the last year (since she can no longer drive). Waited over 1 hr every time. Front staff shoots the breeze in front of a full waiting room with the windows open, but gets grumpy if asked a question about meds being listed incorrectly ("we don't do that, tell the nurse" ) or patient contact/records. The first time we waited almost 2 hours, and the front staff was bemoaning the fact that they had 38 patients booked for that day (window open for all to hear).
