Shawn Newlands is absolutely tops in my book. He rescued me from oral cancer at age 52. He was incredibly pleasant, helpful and supportive every step of the way. He always gave us all the time we needed. My wife thinks he’s charming—and in the midst of things like cancer, that’s a big deal too. I came to Dr. Newlands with a bleeding and crusty nose. He was nice enough to see me on the same day I called with symptoms. He asked me several times if I used illegal drugs up my nose (which I do not). I was diagnosed with a nasal septal perforation. He asked if I had lung or kidney disease (which I didn't). He cleaned out my nose and gave me Neil Med sinus rinse sample (including the bottle). He said the septal perforation was 2cm and probably to large to have a plug put in, but said it could be repaired surgically. He sc... read more
