the service was great, but the food is terrible- the seabass was swimming in this broth that was so sweet could not taste the fish, My husbands steak was overcooked and tough and gave him potatoes that they called new dug---I think they should maybe serve a nice baked potato and not something bland and chewy. I had a gift card for this restaurant --I will never go back --- very over rated.

Upstream is an amazing restaurant! I used to work at a fine dining restaurant so my standards are high, but I feel this place is wonderful! The wait staff is very experienced and with two servers to every table, you never wait for anything. Atmosphere is romantic and elegant but somewhat casual. Food is out of this world!
Well I have to tell ya. Awsome sushi. Very creative dishes to. Calimari...OUT OF THIS WORLD!

This is the best place for seafood in Charlotte, but its not for anyone who is a cheap date. Everything is high quality, Id know- I dont just eat there I use to work there. It was voted one of the top 5 in the city- but Im biased, its #1.
