There are no words to express how grateful I am for Dr. Bookbinder and his awe inspiring staff. Thank you for all your knowledge, compassion, patience, and support.
Our dog had to have a second surgery 6 months later because a stitch wasn't done right. Seems sutures are an issue for this practice. They also to off 2 cysts. We weren't home 30 mins when one of the incisions opened up completely and the poor dog started bleeding profusely. 7 staples later and the trauma of a visit to the Emergency Vet, we've said never again. If you love your pets, do not go there.

Dear Lisa, In addition to what my wife has written, I would like to add that, as we cannot "tell" dogs how to behave in their own best interests when they are healing, complications can occur with any surgery. Dogs can pee on their bandages, they can vomit because a pain medication is upsetting their stomach, or, as in this case, they can scratch or lick out sutures. Dr. Bookbinder has attended my yellow lab for two separate orthopedic issues, including performing two ACL surgeries. I have no question that he is the best vet in the Northeast. He truly cares about animals and their families.

Dr. Bookbinder and his staff are absolutely amazing!!!!! He performed hip surgery on my girl 5 years ago and knee surgery 2 years ago. She is doing great!! Wonderful staff, excellent care! I know I've been a vet tech for 20 years! Was happy to drive my dog 3 hours to see such outstanding people!
This community is so fortunate to have a facility with the skill and care of Dr. Bookbinder and his valued staff. Bristol has had several serious surgeries and he couldn't have been in better hands. Take those 5 stars and X2.
