Dr Upshaw is welcoming and I am motivated so we are a good team. He is not coddling me, but gently encourages me to take the steps I need to take to improve my situation and is very helpful. I don't always feel so great after our sessions, but I know I'm going where I need to go. And I feel safe. Thank you

He is the best mental health provider I’ve ever seen. It makes you relax and comfortable and let’s information flow from you and he gets a better idea of what’s wrong and he’s so easy to talk to.

This doctor is very kind, understanding and he LISTENED to me. I have had to deal with physicians for many years in the work environment and as a patient and a few psychiatrists. I don't feel judged when I talk to him and he has really helped me in the last few years overcome a couple of issues I didn't think I would ever get through. What matters the most in a person's care whether physical or emotional is the physician and his attitude. I've been to countless doctors and psychiatrist over the last 18 years and haven't been satisfied with any of their philosophies or way or handling my disorders. Dr. Upshaw has been the exception and extremely satisfied with his kindness and plan of attack for treatment. Very grateful that I was referred to Upshaw and excited to see what the future has in store. I have not lived this great of a quality of life in years! Thanks Doc - Bradley Y

The waiting room, receptionists room & Dr. office were messy, dirty, stacks of paper all around the crowded office with ugly old dark furniture. There was no where to move around. I was asked to go on the scale which was a bathroom scale a VERY NON PROFFESSIONAL one. The Dr. was 45 minutes late, that?s what I said 45 minutes late & I STORMED OUT 15 MINUTES LATER AFTER TALKING TO HIM. HE DOES NOT LISTEN and suggested treatment that was off the wall. NOT EVEN knowing me. STAY CLEAR.
