I can't tell you how FANTASTIC this Doc & his staff are. Our family & fur baby LOVES them. 100% top paws! We went in for an emergency & had THE BEST care with this team. They even called the next day to check on our fur baby. They were 100% up front with treatment planning, options, diet, restrictions, medications, everything & 100% up front with the fees involved for each part of the treatment planning. Last week we went back for our follow up & nose to tail check for Max - We LOVE THEM ! 5 PAWS on top of 5 stars.
Dr Masfin is an excellent clinician with terrific people skills. He's very compassionate, but at the same time very honest about options and likely outcomes. Pricing is fair and you are advised of cost prior to incurring bill, which is a stress reducer for me. I have five dogs, and have owned dogs my entire life. He is one of the best Veterinarians with whom I've had the pleasure to work. I'm approaching retirement age and have lived in the Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Oregon. I've worked with many good vets.
I have been bringing our dogs to Dr. Mesfin for over 3 years now, and have always found him to be extremely knowledgeable, as well as kind, gentle, and empathetic with all our pets. In addition, Dr. Mesfin's staff is responsive, kind and professional. I highly recommend Upper Marlboro Veterinary Hospital.
Earlier today I took my 11wk old pup to the vet for a wellness check and I was very impressed with Dr. Mesfin and his staff. Everyone was so friendly. I really liked the fact that Dr. Mesfin covered our options first before doing anything. If you live in the area I would highly reccomend Upper Marlboro Veterinary Hospital 5 stars!!!!!

I took my 12 year old dog, Sam, in to see Dr. Mesfin yesterday March 30, 2018. I was a little concerned because Sam hadn't been to a vet in a very long time and I wasn't sure how he was going to react. Doctor Mesfin and his staff could not have been more kind, gentle or caring. Sam was nervous, naturally, but the doctor got right down to Sam's level and talk to him and made him feel calm while. He and his assistant, Chloe, treated Sam as if he was their own dog.
