Very disappointing experience. A nurse told me a doctor would be with me “in a minute,” but I ended up waiting almost 2 hours before anyone came to see me. I understand emergency rooms can get busy, but it’s frustrating when you’re given unrealistic expectations instead of an honest update. Better communication with patients would make a big difference.
My son is autistic and nonspeaking. He had a small emergency I couldn't manage at home. Although it was busy, there was a nurse named John who deserves a shout out. He saw I was overwhelmed and checked in on me and got some snacks for my son while we waited. The care team once we got back quickly assessed the situation and came up with a plan. A sweet nurse who I didn't get her name got my son ice water and was great with him. The female doctor was amazing and patient as well. Very pleased!
So I'm a 20-year-old who just moved into my own house a couple months ago and have no form of transportation. Im just on an ebike, and I rode halfway across town to go to the hospital because I was puking and can't breathe through my nose and I got there.And they told me i'm not allowed to have my bike inside so I am now on my way home with no care or treatment
If you have a choice and especially if you or a family member have a traumatic injury, get to Pittsburgh or Morgantown. This place is beyond dangerous and quite frankly potentially deadly. I have nearly 30 years experience in healthcare and know of what I speak.I have never felt the need to warn people about a healthcare facility and specifically their providers. You've been warned. blonde “registered nurse” at the emergency department. Don’t even know her name. Probably the rudest human being I’ve ever encountered. Not that she cares tho, just giving a heads up for future patients. All the other staff was great just her she just hates her job.
