While I deeply respect Dr. Mansuria and his surgical team, I can’t stay silent about the post-op care I received at this hospital. It was, without a doubt, the worst post op experience I’ve ever had. After a significant surgery, I woke up in pain, vulnerable, and desperately needing help.. But the nurses around me were completely disengaged. Amazing experience from check-in to discharge! Each and every nurse from beginning to end was so kind and helpful!
I am amazed at how UPMC can rip people off. I had a minor procedure done on my finger that was a local anesthetic and they billed my insurance almost $15,000, which I know is wrong. After I made several calls to UPMC because they billed two different codes for one procedure, they rebilled my insurance with the same code twice with an addendum to cover their mistake. These facilities can do whatever they want and you can bet that I will think twice before using another UPMC facility. So disappointed.
