Been getting bone density test there for years but called to get one this month since moving across state next month and they were unable to schedule for 2 months which is after our move date . It would seem they should be able to accommodate.
Excellent care - from the doctors to the staff. Everyone is caring and thoughtful! I’ve had many visits and no complaints at all!
Arrive 90 minutes early before your colonoscopy only for your procedure to be delayed two hours from its scheduled time. Reasoning: “These procedures take time. Sorry.” Yes, I know, and that time is predictable and can be used to schedule properly; this isn’t my first rodeo. But let me just sit here and freeze under the thin, stained blanket with holes and smell your Pizza Hut and crinkly snacks at your desk — while I haven’t eaten for two days. Another 2-star UPMC experience.
Scheduled procedures are not surprise emergencies. Procedure lengths are predictable enough to build realistic schedules and communicate delays appropriately. Instead, I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room, then spent nearly two hours in a pre-op bed freezing under a thin blanket before my procedure. No one proactively communicated the delay, set expectations, or apologized until I asked.
